We would like to begin by welcoming everybody back to Sherfield for the start of what we are confident will be a fantastic year for the whole school. On Sunday, it was lovely to see so many familiar faces in the boarding house after a well-earned summer break, as well as some new faces who we welcomed with open arms to the boarding family and the Sherfield community as a whole.
The school week itself was set off by a truly inspiring assembly from Mr. Brain, who set out a positive message for us to carry through the year about developing not just as students, but as people. This coincided with the announcement of new enrichment time on Friday afternoons, where students across the school will have their usual Friday lessons replaced by elevating and educational activities run by the staff, at the end of which we can come away with a school qualification.
We would both also like to take this time to congratulate all students on their GCSE and A level results over summer, we have seen some truly brilliant results this year and we wish all of those who will not be returning to Sherfield this year the best of luck, and look forward to hearing about all their success in the future.
