In a week when politicians have stolen the limelight at a national level and shown us all how not to behave, Sherfield students continue to model excellent behaviour and exemplary attitudes in everything they do.
As parliament has descended into chaos and we’re all wondering what happens next, our students have been busily getting on with everyday life at Sherfield. From Science investigations in Year 1, Fitfest in Year 5 and 6, Bikeability and a whole host of other enrichment activities as well as Year 7 Camp Out our students have enjoyed their opportunities. Our 6th form Open Evening and taster lessons for Year 11 students have been a huge success and you hopefully will have noticed the introduction of Chromebooks, as we have invested heavily in improved access to ICT to enhance and support learning across the school.
On the sporting front, it is always lovely to share success and fabulous to see so many of our students and teams performing so well and enjoying themselves. The Daily Mile has also been a huge hit with Junior Prep students as they enjoy the benefits of healthy and active lifestyles.
We have a great deal to look forward to next week as we welcome Affixxius Films to Sherfield, who will be filming a promotional video. This will be a great opportunity to showcase our wonderful school and undoubtedly discover some hidden talent! There will also be a chance for some of our students to shadow and support a professional film production company.
As ever, we remain extremely positive about the future and continue to support the stars (and maybe politicians) of the future!
