Dressing Up and Celebrating
Dressing up has certainly been the theme for the week at Sherfield! World Book Day was a wonderful experience with so many fabulous costumes. So much time and effort was put in to celebrate the day in style with so many different characters on display. The house competitions certainly provided an opportunity for pupils to show off their characters with each other in the Gallery.
Today provided a further opportunity for some of our pupils to dress up and assume different characters. Apparently, today was the 100th day in school this year so pupils and staff in Reception and Year 1 dressed up as 100-year-olds and spent the day in character. What an experience and so much fun they had engaging in different learning activities. The average age of our school population increased dramatically!
I must congratulate the dancers and gymnasts who put on such a fantastic performance in our inaugural Gym and Dance Evening on Tuesday night. From the highly talented individual performers to the fabulous group performances followed by the first show from the Sherfield Vaulting Team, each and every performer displayed so much confidence, courage and natural ability. I’m already looking forward to next year!
