This week, our pupils have celebrated World Kindness Day and supported Children in Need with a range of fundraising activities. The first group of Junior Prep Kindness Ambassadors have been appointed and have a very important role in spreading kindness and good spirit across our school community.
World Kindness Day is celebrated annually on 13th November and is a time when we celebrate and promote good deeds and pledge acts of kindness. On that note, we are very thankful for the incredible support and commitment of our Friends of Sherfield parent and staff group. If you were fortunate enough to experience the amazing fireworks display last Friday, you will have benefited from the hard work and collegiate support provided by the group. These events take a huge amount of organisation and we are very appreciative of the time given. We look forward to another successful Christmas Fayre on the 30th November so please do come and show your support!
As the Friends of Sherfield group continues to grow, I am pleased to announce Carl Thomas as the new Chairperson. He replaces Rachel Hanvey-Meyer, who still has a very important role to play as School Liaison to Friends of Sherfield. Rachel has chaired the group for four years and we are indebted to her for her commitment and her excellent leadership of Friends of Sherfield. Once again, please enjoy a lovely weekend and I look forward to sharing more news next week.
