If you were fortunate to have joined us at Sports Day last week you will have enjoyed the experience of bringing together a school community. This week we have enjoyed further events including our Pre-Reception Production, Year 8 Farewell BBQ/Rounders match, Move Up Day and our Outdoor Adventure Day. New pupils have arrived at Sherfield and current pupils have enjoyed the experience of working together and progressing into their new year groups. The camaraderie and collaboration of our students, always with a smile on their faces and enthusiasm for the challenges presented has been a pleasure to witness.
As we move into the final week of our school year, we are delighted to be hosting the inaugural Summer Ball, the Year 11/13 Prom and the annual prize-giving events. In particular, I must say a massive thank you to members of our Friends of Sherfield group who have worked tirelessly with school colleagues to make these events a success.
This week we also held the annual AGM for the Friends of Sherfield and it was great to see so many new faces joining the group, representing parents across the full school age range. A new committee structure has been proposed and further details will be sent to parents soon. On the 11 September at 6pm, there will be a special EGM for Friends of Sherfield and we would be delighted to see more new parents joining the discussion. Please add the date to your busy schedule and join us for drinks and snacks!
Finally, I would like to say thank you to Alice in Year 10 for editing this week's Newsletter as part of her work experience with us.
Once again, have a lovely weekend and many thanks for your continued support.
