Our year 9 pupil, Tilly, gained success in a competition at Brook Farm Dressage on Saturday 27 January 2018. The competition was held in an outdoor arena which proved very challenging for both horse and rider due to the high winds and rain.
However, despite all the difficulties and distractions Tilly and her partner, ‘Nobby Woodford’, rode a lovely test to win their class section with 70.217%. They were also placed second overall in the class, beaten only by 1.5%, which was a wonderful achievement.
What made the days success even more special was the fact that although Tilly’s own horse is currently recovering from an injury, Tilly’s partner, ‘Nobby Woodford’, is actually 25yrs old. He is an absolute superstar and it’s just wonderful to see horses of his age still willing and able to have fun competing.
Well done Tilly!
