Last weekend one of our top riders Tabitha Dean competed at the Pony Premier Show on her pony Atlantic Hope II, at Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire. A key part of the show was the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Second Round held on Saturday with the hope of picking up one of the three direct qualifying places on offer for the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Championship Final at the Horse of the Year Show.
Nine combinations produced two foot perfect rounds to go forward into the final jump off and five went on to produce an all-important third clear round.
Tabitha Dean took the top spot in the second round and was drawn as the seventh combination to go in the nine horse jump off; producing her third and final foot perfect round in 35.74 seconds to ensure that she could not be beaten. Tabs now goes on to compete at the Horse of the Year Show in October, which is a major achievement in itself and we look forward to hearing about Tab’s further successes later in the year.
