It has been a unique and challenging year for the Sherfield Community with many events cancelled, postponed or hosted virtually due to COVID-19 and numerous lockdowns. However, we were thrilled to be able to host our whole school Sports Day for our pupils and welcoming our supportive parents back on site. It was great to have our pupils from Pre Reception all the way up to Year 13 participating in events, enjoying themselves and scoring points for their Houses.
A huge well done to the following pupils who achieved the most points from the events they competed in and were therefore crowned the Victor and Victrix Ludorom:
- Junior Prep: Will B (Buckfield) and Annabelle R-B (Buckfield)
- Senior Prep: Nic (Lydney) and Daisy A (Loddon)
- Seniors: Jett (Loddon) and Stevie-Leigh (Buckfield).
After much anticipation Mr Brain revealed the results:
- 4th place 706 points: Wynstow
- 3rd place 845 points: Loddon
- 2nd place 959 points: Buckfield
- 1st place 1034 points: Lydney
What a competition! A huge thank you to all staff involved, as well as our Year 11 and Sixth Form pupils who were on hand to help and support on the day. Well done to every single pupil who participated in Sports Day and a huge congratulations to Lydney House who are this year’s champions!
