Hi everyone! We’re back from our Emirates trip and into another exciting week at Sixth Form. Last Friday we had the opportunity to visit the University and Apprenticeship Fair to start our application process.
After the two-hour bus journey featuring Whitney and Beyoncé, we arrived at our rainy destination. We then proceeded to schedule our day, ensuring that we make the most of the events on offer.
Our day began with our first seminar on UCAS and personal statements. We found it informative as it included plenty of top tips to make your personal statement stand out from the thousands of others.
Next, we perused the university stalls and were able to talk to representatives from potential universities who provided us with vast information such as campus life, entry requirements and the best nearby nightclubs!
Our next stop was our second seminar on Russel Group universities and the opportunities that they can provide, mainly being their reputation. We ended our experience with a good plate of chips and headed home.
Regarding the milk crisis, we're happy to report the blue milk has been restocked! We would also like to congratulate Oisin for the best hot chocolate of the week.
Speaking of awards, some of the year twelves have been presented with the role of Senior Prefects of specific subjects (drum roll please…):
Art – Sasha
English – Millie, Emilie
Computer Science – James
Music/History – Oisin
DT – Dom
Psychology/Economics – Suzie
It’s been an eventful week at the sixth form. We look forward to catching up with you next week!
