Yet again we are celebrating our exceptional sporting talents at Sherfield...
Kirsty qualified for the prestigious Road to Wimbledon National Finals in August and finished as a runner up in the County Final. It is a major achievement just to qualify and compete at this tournament and she performed to a high standard against very tough competition.
Katie (Year 9) has secured a place for the 2018/19 season with Oxford United’s Girls Talent ID Centre. She has regularly represented the school in football and will continue to do so this year as one of our strongest players. Her desire to continually improve is always evident and we cannot wait to see her develop under the guidance of Oxford United.
Armed with a new routine, ‘The Greatest Showman’ and with only three weeks to devise and practice the routine, Ava Mae (Year 6) headed to the Sheffield I J S Open this summer to compete against 53 other girls and came seventh overall, notching up a Personal Best score. Then off to Scotland to compete in the Dundee Open, achieving another Personal Best, which was enough to win the competition for her age group. She has now qualified to compete at the British Championships later this year and for the GB Development squad. We are delighted to announce that Ava is now ranked third in the Country at her level!
