Anti-Bullying Week 2021 focused on One Kind Word. Across the school, pupils were involved in assemblies that highlighted the importance and impact of 'one kind word'. The key message being that a positive or negative action can create a ripple effect or a chain reaction. If we are kind to each other, it creates a positive ripple effect. Here at Sherfield, we want to be part of a positive chain of events.
Our Anti-Bullying ambassadors were keen to have “One Kind Word Wednesday” where each tutor group was challenged to create a poster to celebrate kindness. We had some amazing examples which we displayed in the dining hall. Junior Prep threw kindness around like it was confetti and Miss Howe and the Languages club created a foreign language kindness poster.
This national awareness week may have only been seven days, but at Sherfield, kindness is at the core of our ethos 365 days of the year.
