On Wednesday 27th June all pupils in Year 9 and 10 visited The Natural History Museum in London.
Spirits were high as we entered the museum and were confronted by 'Hope' the spectacular 25.2m blue whale. Pupils visited numerous exhibitions within the museum in small groups where they could discuss and explore the wonders of natural history. Special areas of excitement were the dinosaur sections and the Human Biology area. Pupils were able to explore the different time periods dinosaurs lived, sort the facts from the myths about why they died out and find out what our scientific research has taught us about these prehistoric giants, before they encountered the roaring T-Rex. In addition, pupils had the opportunity to explore the Human Biology interactive area where they could take part in the hands-on interactive activities.
