We would like to express our sincerest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty led a life centred on selfless service, demonstrating unwavering strength, warmth and kindness in leading the nation over seven decades. She gave to us all a sense of stability and constancy. Our thoughts are with all members of the Royal Family at this most difficult time.
With the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty, this morning tutor groups have been involved in a discussion and remembrance and they observed a minute's silence. Children in Reception to Year 6 reflected on the news and what it means in assembly this morning.
A decision has been made to cancel the Friends of Sherfield Family Fun Day, due to be held on Saturday 17 September, out of respect.
On Tuesday morning, we will be holding two special Assemblies, one for Reception to Year 4 and one for Years 5 to 13, to show our collective respect and commemorate the life of Her Majesty.
