What a fantastic journey this team has been on, the first team from the UK to enter GEMS Global Challenges and to be shortlisted on their first attempt was a superb achievement.
On Tuesday the day had come for the final pitch to the Judges. The team were calm, collected and professional. The students had taken on-board all the advice that they received from their mentor and applied what they had learnt during the two bootcamp days.
The students pitched to the following judges; Gemma Wild (Sector Head Education at HSBC), Natalie Sieman (Head of Technology Practice at Stanton Chase), Ritesh Tilani (Founding Partner at Joi Gifts) and Roberto Croci (Managing Director at Microsoft for Startup MEA). They received some great feedback from the panel but unfortunately on this occasion did not win.
All the long hours of preparation have equipped them with entrepreneurial skills and experiences many young people could only dream of at such a young age.
A final congratulations to; Les, Angus, Jack & Ben in Year 9.
