Year 8 to 12 have been participating in Escape Room Tasks in Art this week. They have had to work together to figure out the clues; using their observation skills, creativity and problem solving abilities they completed tasks in a pressurised time environment.
Pupils in year 8 had to produce new product designs to sell at the Sea Life Centre London for Sir Alan Sugar, Year 9 forged a famous Artwork before the SWAT team arrived, Year 10 replicated the famous Hokusai Wave using recycled plastics, Year 11 created packaging for a product launch and Year 12 have just completed a Sewing B challenge for London Fashion Week.
Pupils worked together incredibly well and showed their ability to work independently, whilst also listening to the groups ideas and feedback, enabling them all to complete their given tasks. It was a privilege to see pupils at Sherfield using their higher order thinking skills and tackling unusual challenges head on. It will be exciting to see how this work influences their projects in the weeks to come.
