Biography
Zoë is an artist who focuses on line, space, colour and void. She achieved her Batchelor of Fine Art from The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford in 2015 having previously completed her Art & Design Foundation at Oxford Brookes University. She has grown up travelling around the UK meaning her artwork stems from a range of origins and manifests into shapes and spaces that often have multiple uses. She is currently focusing on print and pattern making, breaking work down to simple shapes and ideas, often creating things that are very tactile. She likes to relate her work back to the body whether this is through creating a textile pattern for everyday use or a work for a gallery exploring the gap between what we see and what we experience.
Zoe has held placements around the world including in New York USA, Jinju South Korea and various cities in China. Since graduating she moved to Nam Dinh in Vietnam, living and working with the locals in the small garment factory city. After a year there she moved to Auckland, New Zealand and worked for a theatre and travel company. She has recently returned to the UK to undertake this residency at Sherfield School.
