We were so proud to have 13 Sherfield pupils swimming at the ISA National Swimming Finals at the Olympic Pool in London. Every swimmer did their bit for the London West team and we were very proud to help the region to finish a very close 4 points behind the North region. Sherfield pupils came back with lots of medals and most importantly happy memories having swam their absolute best. There were a few schools that didn’t follow instructions so it was lucky that Sherfield pupils were there to save the day! Bran stepped up and having just swam in the Year 7 medley relay team swam in the Year 8 medley relay team again less than 5 minutes later! Year 8 Head Girl Aliza came running over early as she was already close by and with no warm up or time to think she jumped straight into the Year 9/10 medley relay with Katie offering to swim a different stroke in the same team. In the 2nd session Luke, Freya and Lachlan all waited until the relays at the end to swim for team members that hadn’t registered and then frustratingly showed up last minute. We are very grateful that our pupils showed such amazing team spirit.

A big thank you to Mrs Smith for coming along for the day to support our wonderful Para swimmers and help with the rest of the team and also to our parents that helped out by getting pupils to London and arriving earlier than expected and hanging around longer than expected.
We are really looking forward to getting started in our junior swim league which is starting after Christmas for our pupils in Years 3-6.
