“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you” – Princess Diana
To encourage our pupils to spread kindness around the school and wider community, Miss Howe, Teacher of Modern Languages, has created a “Positivi-tree” with her Year 7 form.
Having started this project in September, pupils were tasked with carrying out three acts of kindness throughout the Autumn term. For every act of kindness, they were given a coloured leaf on which they wrote about what they did, why they did it, who it was for, and how it made them feel.
“I am so proud of my form! They have fully engaged with this project and all of their hard work can be seen by their beautiful acts of kindness on our Positivi-tree”.
“They have put a lot of effort into this and their work transmits a powerful message to others about the importance of kindness in our everyday lives. No matter how big or small, every act of kindness is valued and leaves a lasting impact on those around us”.
“It has been so rewarding to see our Positivi-tree grow over the last few months and blossom into something really special. The pupils recently added fairy lights and tinsel too, making it even more magical!” Well done 7.1!
