On Monday 25 June our school welcomed proud parents of students for the annual End of Year Art and Design Technology Exhibition, which displays work from years 1-13. The show is always a fantastic occasion and an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and demonstrate their skills, which never fail to impress their parents and any other visitors to the school. The exhibition was held throughout three areas of The Old House, with work of our prep students lining the hallways, Design Technology in the sofa room and senior work in the Gallery.
Parents and visitors enjoyed a glass of wine whilst taking a look around the varied exhibition, which included a collection of engaging and personal portraits by Year 8, a selection of professionally designed and made furniture pieces and high quality mixed-media Art work from Years 10, 11 and Sixth Form.
All that attended agreed what a treat it was to see the wonderful Art work that the students of Sherfield School have been producing, the high standard and engagement with a range of materials, techniques and processes was evident throughout all years. The work will remain on the walls until next term and so there may still be an opportunity for those that have not yet seen it to view the exhibition.
