The yearly Sherfield Ski Trip took place during half term in Prato Nevosso, Italy. The weather was very hot but the snow was fantastic and all of students had a brilliant week.
All groups enjoyed four hours skiing tuition a day. The beginner group did a wonderful job of learning the basics and showing off their new skills by hitting some of the big slopes and chair lifts. The intermediates worked hard perfecting their skills and learning new techniques which led to them taking on some particularly tricky runs and of course the advanced group left everyone for dust (powder).
Sherfield teamed up with another school for the week, Ashcroft Technology Academy who helped make the trip enjoyable by being a friendly, supportive and fun bunch. Both schools came together in the ski groups, meal times and socialising in the hotel leading to new friendships being made.
The evening activities were great fun; consisting of swimming, a quiz and games night (won by the rather inappropriately named There’s Snow Way We’re Gonna Win), an event called Night at the Races and “Snow Tubing” which proved to be very popular.
Details of next year’s Ski Trip will be announced soon!
