Owen finished his athletics season last year with multiple medals and a no 1 UK ranking for his age group. He moved up to the under 20 age group at the beginning of January and last weekend competed in the South of England Athletic Association Regional Championship. Owen ran the 400m and, in a highly competitive final, achieved a silver medal with a time of 48.36s which sees him firmly placed No. 2 in the under 20 UK rankings. This is a an incredible achievement for a first race of the season in a highter group and one of the youngest competitors in the age group. We congratulate Owen on this fantastic result and will be watching his season closely. We are very proud to have such a hardworking, committed and talented athlete in our school.
