European Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run Championships – Madeira – July 2024
"Back in July we had pupils ranging from Year 2 to Year 9 and our new maths teacher Mr. Jamie Gane represent GB in Madeira at the European Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run Championships. It was a privilege to be there to support the team and be able to help calm nerves (of both our pupils and their parents!) and offer advice.
We had 1 more pupil than Millfield that attended to form the vast majority of the GB Under 9s laser run team!
Joshua N was the youngest competitor of the whole competition – and also the tiniest! But that didn’t stop him.
The swim part of the biathle and triathle took place in the marina and was an open water swim – quite a daunting swim for some of our younger pupils. All our pupils performed fantastically giving every race everything they had."
