The Government has confirmed that the full 20% VAT rate will be applied to private school fees, other than the provision of education in a nursery class, starting from January 2025. Our goal is to ensure that we provide the highest quality education while also considering the financial wellbeing of our families.
Due to robust governance and financial management, we are proud to announce that we will be protecting our families from any increase in fees until September 2025. This decision reflects EiM’s commitment to supporting our community and making education at Sherfield School as accessible as possible while minimising disruption to our pupils' education.
Please be reassured that this will not hinder investment in the school. We will continue to upgrade our facilities and are actively working on the master plan. We remain committed to enhancing the learning environment for our pupils.
We will continue discussing with the Board and EiM how to deal with the new VAT rate over the coming years, and we will communicate promptly and transparently as new information arises and decisions are made.
